Lazy Lamhe !!!!!

Except for Monday, the greater part of the week has been uneventful. The day starts without a plan and ends without a plan. While many have suggested me to either head back home or to a beach ( I am in Goa !!!!)……. I have been happily hanging around in my college campus amidst a jungle. The beauty of these days is that I am not going to get back these five days. End of college life and corporate saga is going to snatch the beauty of lazy weekdays ……. So I am making the most of it . I feel that I have been reliving my school days especially the summer vacations time. Those were the times when Facebook had not yet ruled our lives and evenings meant outdoor activities instead of watching movies on laptop. While I do occasional Facebooking, the frequency and time spent on it has reduced drastically. Facebook has given way to reading. The best part of this week has been

1)      No Alarm :
6.30 AM …… the alarm rings !!!!!  snooze and go back to sleep ……. Well none of those , I have nothing to look forward to , neither class nor other important things which means I can sleep as long as I want. My mothers calls in the morning serve as my wake up calls

2)      Books and Books!!!
I realized that my reading has dropped considerably, gone arer the days when I could finish a     200 pages novel in a day, but still the feel ofg a book and the smell of paper has some unexplained effect on me.  I have been reading very slowly yet steadily (books have also been putting me to sleep, but the quality of sleep is very good)

3)      Stargazing

The beauty of staying in a place amidst jungle far away from the city crowd is something that a city dweller can appreciate. In a place like Bangalore where all you can see is tall buildings and sky overcast with smoke and dust, spotting a constellation in the sky is something akin to searching for as needle in haystack.  While here, we breathe fresh air and can still manage to watch a clear starry sky. I am also happy to have a close buddy ,Komal who shares similar interest . Therefore we sit outside after dinner gazing at stars .

4)      Sunrise, Sunset, Moonrise and Moonset :

I almost jumped like a kid, when I  saw a sunrise, moonrise and moonset . I also witnessed lunar eclipse last year.  Sunset is something I don’t miss, I always look forward to it(read my previous blog). I hope I get to catch sunrise tomorrow…….

All I can say is that I am happy doing nothing and infact I am Loving It !!!

MOMENTS OF PEACE

It really feels good to pen down your thoughts after 2 years especially when you have found time amidst a busy schedule. I would like to say that last 2 weeks have been nothing but maddening . With all tension ,workload and all c.onversations leading to one dreaded topic like the saying goes "All roads lead to Rome ". There are times one feels like running away from madness..
I would really like to thank my stars for being in a B-school campus amidst nature. For a city dweller like me, its been a welcome change as every morning I am greeted by the sound of birds instead of vehicles. The windows open into wilderness instead of a neighbor's kitchen.
I look forward to evenings as weather turns pleasant and sky has hues of blue, yellow and crimson. It’s the time when sun is going to move below the horizon to pave way for its other brothers (stars). Sunset though looks good from my window, its best when viewed from a place right behind library. Its a best place if one wishes to unwind by either reading a novel, listening to music or just silently sipping a hot cup of coffee. Its however not important what one does during that time but what one feels. The feeling I experience can be summed up in one word "SOLITUDE". This makes me understand the importance of  "ME-TIME" or "Leisure" . While we are busy running an imaginary race in our lives, many times we fail to appreciate the beauty of our surroundings./ Yet materialistic aspirations sometimes fail to bring out a smile on our face which a sunset, chirping of birds, raindrops ,smell of sand before rains and a smile of a baby can bring. I would like to sign off with one of my most favorite from the great poet Wordsworth

What is this life if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare?—

No time to stand beneath the boughs,
And stare as long as sheep and cows:

No time to see, when woods we pass,
Where squirrels hide their nuts in grass:

No time to see, in broad daylight,
Streams full of stars, like skies at night:

No time to turn at Beauty's glance,
And watch her feet, how they can dance:

No time to wait till her mouth can
Enrich that smile her eyes began?

A poor life this if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.

Mindless Musings Of a Maverick

Finally I have become a blogger and this is my first ever Blog !!! This has always been on my mind for few years but my internal inertia has not permitted me to do the same.As far as the post is concerned,it has nothing much to offer....well let me make it clear that not all of my posts are ever going to make sense or have the language fit enough to get one into Oxford University. Its main purpose is to spill all my endless thoughts. Not that there are no people to listen butthere is definitely a dearth of insane people to listen to all my random thoughts.I cannot help feeling happy about usage of letter M in the post.....yes I really like putting my words in a rhyming sequence.as far as Maverick is concerned,I am not actually one but again it fitted perfectly.I hope one day like Anne Frank I also live after my death through my blogs!!!!
(the last sentence was not required at all as its making things seem more dramatic
